Canterio International Canada
Luke Masuen reading with and
orphans child.
This November, Canterio International volunteers visited the
village of Salima in Malawi, Africa and were greeted by more
than 300 children.
Caterio International volunteer  asked  a village leader,

"Could you show me the orphans?"
he gestured to the sea of faces and replied, "All of them!!"

We were shocked. We knew we would encounter many
orphans, but not entire villages with no surviving adults. We
saw first hand the devastating impact of HIV/Aids on innocent
children.

HIV/Aids has decimated Malawi’s adult population. This crisis
has left thousands of orphans with no adults to care for them.
These children are in desperate need of basic necessities
such as food, clothing and school supplies for their education.
