Financial Contribution by US students Allocation of the money to aid the orphans and vulnerable children of Malawi Thanks to generosity of US students at participating schools money was raised to fund our initiatives for Malawian orphans. Many orphans and vulnerable children in Malawi have no clothes or tattered clothing. A school uniform allows the OVC to attend school. First, the uniform has an important role in shaping the identity of the child as a student. Second, the uniform is a source of pride and commitment to education. Because of the importance of school uniforms, all funds were allocated to this initiative.
